This was made for patching the client of the users and the staff. If I remember correctly, patches were built by rarring together all changed files and then uploaded it to the web server. The patch client would check for a new version and then download and unpack if needed. Also displayed any message via a webpage also stored on a web server.
Will of course need major updating as it was hardcoded for the server I was building at the time. Perhaps whoever takes on programming of the tool can generalize it and make it to it could easily be adapted to any server through a config file or something.
