Spellbook bug

i am running the 95 distro on the 96 core as it is provided in the downloads section of this website. there is a major bug though that i can't figure out. the spellbooks only display the clumsy spell. no matter what scroll you put in it is clumsy... and here is another thing. they don't even work. the scrolls as scrolls work but when in the spellbook they don't. i really need some help with this. please?
