I'm hopeful that the shuffling around of stuff will settle down now, and we can get into regular discussions again!
I'm anxiously awaiting the continued development of 096, and am working in upgrading my own shard to it as development continues. I have been very pleased with the breadth and depth of the changes in 096.
I know that some are a little bit impatient, and I can understand that. But I'd just like to start the posting here with a reminder that these fine folk are volunteering their time and effort to provide us with something stable, standardized and with all the features we've asked for. Is it perfect? Maybe not - but close enough for me.
Those of us who are anxious to get 096 released in a full, final stable version can help. How? By testing, if we are able. By doing our best to report issues in a way that gives the dev team the info they need. They really do need our help to make sure 096 is yet another high-quality product!
Welcome, everyone!

Posts gone?
Hmm...
Hadn't noticed.
Seriously I understand board wipes. They're hard. We been through several on my site. None lately.
And yes, thanks to the devs for volunteering their time on POL.
I assume that the problems you were having here related to PHPNuke's vulnerabilities.
*shivers*
So I might be doing a wipe at some time.
Thanks guys for hanging in there with development.

*shivers at the thought of some hundret newbie questions being asked again now* *grins*Tritan wrote:Boards wipes have to happen when they get attacked. I have had to do this from time to time myself.
At least we still have someplace to come and talk and hopefully help each other out.
I agree though, glad our pol devs stick around nevertheless - all that really matters is to stay alive after all, a few lost posts won't kill us
Well maybe this time we can head them off with some of tutorials that have been generated by Muad and the others. :shock:Firedancer wrote: *shivers at the thought of some hundret newbie questions being asked again now* *grins*

That would be a good topic to get going is posting some tutorials here. Things like connection problems, what to check for and so on. That way people can start searching for them instead of just asking.
Just a thought.
