Another thing, while on the 097 discussion. Is it better to make speed a r/w property, or is it better to use a delay mod?

Reason im asking: If you want to change a weapon into a "swift" weapon, permanently, would you need to set a delay mod on the weapon, on the user of the weapon, or would you ...

mobile.tradingwith - a mobile reference or error "mobile is not trading"
I like that one. Easier referencing for script use.

Except if you're behind a router, then the IP should be your LAN ip, and your LoginServer needs to match that IP. Also, your pol.cfg needs to match that port (it probably does though).

Note, that, if you're behind a router, setting your IP to your LAN IP will only enable you to connect, not anyone ...

Bushido, Ninjitsu and Spellweaving

Hi guys,

Thanks for these great additions to RC2. However, the following observations:

1) For bushido and ninjitsu, the books are empty. I then assumed you need scrolls to fill them, and proceed to go through InsideUO to find these scrolls. However, I found no instances of these scrolls. For both ...

Please note that I did not add code to check whether the ability may be activated (in case you want to limit it somehow, we dont limit that on our shard, and neither does OSI), or the code to actually use these abilities. All I gave you in that package was the basic hook to actually make those ...

Hi Muad,

Correct in assuming it would be configured like this?

Code: Select all

Packet 0xD7
{
	Length variable
	SubCommandOffset 9
	SubCommandLength 1
}
SubPacket 0xD7
{
	SubCommandID 0x19
	ReceiveFunction combatHook:handeCombat
}

Well AUX isnt that slow. We use it for shard status + playerlist on a web page, and it takes a few milliseconds to send full details of about 100+ players. I'll agree that it's hard to code, but once you're used to it, it's quite simple really.

Just pack everything into a big array, transmit it ...

Bleh, disregard this thread.

I mixed up the spellid ranges. Necro spellid's start from 101, not 501.

Sorry.

Exact same thing here - I also get those warnings, and when I disable warnings, it runs fine. Using a standard tiledata built from a standard ML copy.

Eventho the warnings don't show anymore with warnings disabled - will it still work?

I've put some prints in the spellRestrictions file to see what the spellid is, and:

When I cast the animate dead spell (spellid 501 as configured, see above post), the core thinks its spellid 1. Therefore, its treated as a normal spell.

Anyone know why?

Spell ID's

Hi again,

Quick question - what are "valid" spellid ranges? Reason I'm asking, is, i've created and configured the necromancer spellbook, as follows:

Spellbook 0xF9FB
{
Name necrospellbook
desc Book of Necromancy
Graphic 0x2253
SpellType Necro
Gump 0xFFFF
MinX 40

Warrior book

Hi guys,

Once again, not sure if this is the right forum, but since it is a feature only available using POL96..

Has anyone figured out how to hook and use the warrior book (the purple book that appears in your paperdoll)?

Will do, Muad - it'd be nice if the core can monitor for changes :)

Ok guys, got the tooltips working fine, except still in the case of containers. If anyone can test and confirm this..

Queued data mode

Our console is current being spammed by "Switching to queued data mode", with sizes of up to 2kb.

Is there a way to find out for whom it's switching to queued data mode?

That doesn't work for me... Where in the script do you do that?

Secondly, that would only work for mobiles, wouldnt it? An item has .desc for names.

Well, changing the name works. One thing though:

Changing a bag's name in the onRemove and onInsert scripts doesnt update its tooltip at all. Check:

in tooltips.src:

if (Cint(xObject.graphic) in {3649,3648,3702,3701,3705}) //CONTAINER
xDesc := xDesc + Html + "<br>";
var itemcnt := xObject ...

Well, that didnt work. Didn't think it would too. So, guess we'll have to identify where the item's properties could possibly change.
