BANANA PI BPI-M3 + POL

Post by WAVEL »

Greetings to everyone,

About hosting a server in the topic Subject, anyone have tried ?

I'm considering doing so in a server that will range about 30 - 80 players (being optimistic, sure)

What do you guys say about this ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

That's an interesting project! As far as I know, no one has run POL in an ARM processor yet. I'm not sure how stable it will be, but it's worth a try. It should at least compile. Just be warned that the ARM architecture may expose (more) bugs in POL involving data races, due to the way the ARM handles memory access.

Do you already have one of those? If not, maybe you should run POL in an ARM emulator first (QEMU?).

I'd be curious to hear about your experience. Let me know if you find any crazy bugs and we can look into it. :)
