I recently installed uo again, and can't get it to update, I haven't changed the login.cfg file so I'm wondering if ea did this on purpose or if something else is wrong on my end?

Yup they've moved update servers.

Edit vercfg.cfg file and just change address:

from: compassion.owo.com
to : patch.uo.eamythic.com
