UO ML 3D client (uotd.exe) - question about light

Hello,

I have a question: We allow the use of the 3D client (most players do not use it).

We have UO ML 5.06a - the 2D client works fine.

The 3D client works too, but there is one problem: If it is dark (Lightlevel=28), then light sources (torches, lanterns, etc) are _much_ too bright. It is unplayable this way! It is known, that the 3D client does not allow it to become totally dark. But all light levels up to 14 or so are unplayable, if you have light sources (including static lights). If the light level is 10 or higher (i.e. 0..10) it becomes playable, but is not so beautiful. The 2D client can (with option 'colored lighting') create very beautiful pictures. The 3D client cannot...

Any ideas? We could adjust the light level for 3D clients (via script) - but this is not easy. Does anybody know this problem?
