hey guys, i have a problem with a custom uo client(hex edited) im using. Its working fine for now, on precreated characters, but when we create a new character the screen will NOT maximize. im not sure whats happening wether its the encription or something. It works fine for the two characters i had setup before the client (using razor), when im on the custom client i can maximise the screen on those two characters.

when i create a new account and character, the whole client will crash when i try to maximise the screen or drag it wider.

does anyone have any idea about whats causing this?

I think I need more information about this problem to give you some hints. It could be many things: a bad "prof.txt", a bad encryption, a bad item when you login into your server...

When exactly the client crash? When you select the profession? When you login?
And, why not use the plain "riced" client?

the client works fine untill you try to maximise the actual window of the client, and even when trying to adjust it manually rather then the maximise button. it works fine till you do that, no errors.

does rice work with client 7.0.15.1?

I get "unexpected message type f4. 314 bytes" whenever someone tries to maximise their client, or change the size of it if that means anything to you

The client is too new for me :) anyway, to identifiy the problem, I suggest you:
- try on a different OS, for example using XP if you're on 7 or viceversa
- try changing your location in the world
- try changing resolution in client using the in-game options
- fiddle aroung with the uo.cfg options

You are using the latest POL 099 from SVN?

Atleast UOCH removes then encryption of that client, and Pol supports that enryption too so no need to even remove.

f4 is the Client crash packet, so that doesnt mean anything, there can be many reasons, missing gumps, wrong gumps ( happened to me alot when I removed those SA/HSA books that appeared during logon or corrupted skills.mul etc )

but you should first try with a client where you either use a program to remove then encryption or have Pol listen for that client version encrypted.

7.0.13.0 changed the startlocation choose packet, so you need to get the latest Pol build from SVN ( I guess you have it or you wouldnt even be able to login )
