Im using POL96 and im wanting to know how will i go to upgrade to POL97 if someone could walk me through the steps needed to do this please.

Just download the core of your choice and look in the changelog starting from the version of the core you currently have all the way up to the top. It will tell you what has changed and hint at the relevant script changes.

Why won't you use pol98? 97 is already outdated.
