File.em and RAM usage

File.em and RAM usage

If I do a var file := ReadFile("::data/storage.txt") and my storage.txt is a large size like say 100 MB, am I taking up 100 MB of RAM?

Also, if I do so, and I set that variable to zero with file := 0, does it free that memory up?
