I can tell this is REALLY OLD. First of all, you have to go through your scripts searching for variables that are declared as "local". Things like this...

Code: Select all

 local the_book := target(who, "");
have to be changed to

Code: Select all

 var the_book := target(who, "");
that should fix the current problem in inscription.

in poisoncloud, you see the line

Code: Select all

 if (parms[1] = "#MOB")
follow exactly what the compiler suggested.. It should be == not =

in sorcerybook, theres a comma after the last item in the array. Remove it.

Code: Select all

 "button 220 210 2104 2103 1 0 116",
should be

Code: Select all

 "button 220 210 2104 2103 1 0 116"
same thing for

Code: Select all

 "text 80 205 0 ",
and

Code: Select all

 "Drain",

sorceryscroll is the same problem is inscription. Change all "local" to "var"

Is that the line:

if (FlagCheck(Con1Flag, i)=1)

Then you would make it say

if (FlagCheck(Con1Flag, i)==1 )

Remember, = by itself can't be used any more. The error message tells you it will be either a := or ==. Since it's a comparison and not an assignment, use the ==

CWO covered that one in his reply.

Err, Elwen,

CWO and Oldngrey showed you exactly what to do. It appears the source code you are using is quite old.

This means that you need to search through ALL of your source files for old and unused command syntax. Your last clip fro Ecompile is showing you yet again that it has encountered a single equals sign ( = ) where it should actually be changed to a double equals sign ( == ). Ignore my parenthesis.

In other words, don't just edit the one source file, you need to do this to all of your source code. Exactly like CWO said, it's not just the "=" which is affected, it's a bunch of other commands as well.

Deprecated means old, no longer in use.

Regards
Justae

Elwen, it's that single = needing to be changed to the == I talked to you about today. Just look through the source code and change every line that has a single = between variables to ==

You're not a dunce Elwen. You just have to read the eror messages carefully. A lot of the time they do give important info that's helpful.
