And what is "IGR Time Limit"?

I have been getting that error as well, but been able to bypass it and still start my client. But not now.

I searched the "Distro" files and wasn't able to find either one of those strings, "unrecognized object" or "IGR time limit". I suspect those are client side messages but that's all I can tell you. Sorry I can't be more helpful with those messages.

OK I found this post on the forums regarding the "IGR" message. Maybe it will help.

Also, it seems that that message does pop-up from time to time even on the "official" EA/OSI shards. Just search the web for it and you'll find several hits.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I haven't ever encountered this problem before.

I am willing to try a different version or download location. Where else can i download this, maybe I have a bummed copy.

Here is a working copy of the "Distro" from my computer. It is based on the current version on SVN with all of the necessary changes required to get it to compile, ie. missing SHARD_NAME constant etc.

The shard name and shard website info can be found in ...\pkg\systems\help\config\settings.cfg. Replace the defaults with your info.

This ZIP file contains only the "Distro" scripts and the associated files such as cfg, inc... It does not contain the POL Core files.

As I said, this is my copy of the "Distro" which I have running on my PC. It compiles and runs and I can log-in.

Make sure you edit the servers.cfg, servspecopt.cfg, pol.cfg, ecompile.cfg, and any other cfg files I might have forgotten to mention here, to match your set-up.

The only time I have really encountered the IGR Time limit message while logging in was when you are using an account with lower cmdlevel than you are allowing in pol.cfg entry MinCmdToLogin

How does the Command Level work?

Besides the titles, what are the numbers? I have seen 0 as a player(?), then how do they go?

0 - player
1 - coun
2 - seer
3 - gm
4 - admin
5 - dev/test

You can configure it in config/cmds.cfg

If I wanted to make a character a dev, what line of code would be the correct way of making it so? And what file?
(just to make sure I am doing it right)
