People wear all black because it's lazy. They don't have to think about matching clothes because EVERYTHING MATCHES WHEN IT'S BLACK.
At least that's Neil Gaiman's excuse.
How boring would it look if I was a ninja GM instead of a pirate? Pirates use COLORS!
