Open you Pol/Config/tiles.cfg file and search for item 0x203c entry
Code: Select all
tile 0x203c
{
Desc Long Hair
UoFlags 0x00400002
Layer 11
Height 0
Weight 0
OverFlight 0
Movable 1
Equippable 1
}
I guess its missing that Equippable which means either that there have been some problems during uoconvert ( in that case rerun it ) or for some reason your clientside tiledata.mul is corrupted.
Also the problem can be that you are using a clientversion > 7.0.9.0 and you are using a core version that still not support HSA tile changes in uoconvert, in that case you either have to use an older version of the client ( and files, just the exe in this case is not enough ) or get the latest core version from SVN and compile it yourself

I finally surrendered and downloaded the SVN from the Repository about 3 days ago. Not as problems as from the website.

I don't remember ever seeing that error before. What client version are you using?
I wonder if this might have to do with the UOFeatureEnable setting in \pol\config\servspecopt.cfg

I have been trying with Mondain's Legacy 6.0.5 and UO Classic Client 7.0.10.
Neither one works.

GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS
GOOD NEWS---------I AM IN!!
BAD NEWS---------------How do I set up my account so it has the Dev Command Level? Is there an Owner Level? And how do I add commands if I want to?

I found out how to set up my command level as Admin, but it doesn't apply when I log into my account.
Any thoughts?

Take a look in the accounts.txt file in \pol\data and make sure it has the
DefaultCmdLevel property set. The highest setting is "test". That's higher than "admin".
Code: Select all
Enabled 1
Banned 0
DefaultCmdLevel test
You can also set a command level for individual characters in the pcs.txt file found in the same directory.
The
info command will also allow command level editing of characters as well.

Ok, I did what you said, and it doesn't recognize any commands. I am stuck at a location called "Zulu Hotel" if that helps.
But I set it as test, and it doesn't recognize any of the commands under the test folder.

Zaksmeer wrote:please help me verify which scripts I should have set.
every *.src file from pkg and scripts directory must have *.ecl file
src = source
ecl = ecompiled
Use your StartHere.bat and choose there "Compile all scripts and output to ecompile.log"
Then take a look into log and search for errors.

Let's start from the beginning.
1.
http://forums.polserver.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3504
2. Show us your pcs.txt character entry
3. Show us your cmds.cfg
4. Show us paths to your commands dir (dir must include directories player, seer, coun, gm etc.)
5. Take a look into seer directory and check if there are *.ecl files

# $Id: cmds.cfg 373 2006-06-17 18:27:33Z austinheilman $
#
# Purpose:
# Configures the command level hierarchy for the server.
#
# Structure:
#
# CmdLevel (cmdlevel name)
# {
# DIR (string path to this cmdlevel's textcmd directory)
# [DIR...]
# Alias (string alias name for this cmdlevel)
# [Alias...]
# }
#
# Explanation:
# Command levels are defined in increasing order of power. Command level 'numbers'
# will be assigned automatically from this file. If you change the cmdlevel names
# from player/coun/seer/gm/admin/test, it is recommended you define 'Alias' lines
# to associate these basic cmdlevels with your custom cmdlevels. This way, package
# cmds.cfg files will place their commands into your command structure. Additional
# DIR properties allow you to specify additional commands in packages, just set
# your path to i.e. /pkg/mypkg/textcmd/admin .
CmdLevel Player
{
DIR pkg/commands/player
}
CmdLevel Coun
{
DIR pkg/commands/coun
DIR pkg/commands/counselor

}
CmdLevel Seer
{

DIR pkg/commands/building
DIR pkg/commands/effects
}
CmdLevel GM

CmdLevel Admin

CmdLevel Dev

Because name of property for pcs.txt is CmdLevel, not DefaultCmdLevel

I do that, it recognizes the change, recompiles and loads into server, but when I check back 10 minutes later its been erased.

Make sure you are shutting down the server by pressing <ctrl-c> when the console window is active. Just closing the window will shut down the server but it won't save any in-game changes. Using <ctrl-c> tells POL to save the game state before shutting down. This isn't the cause of your current issue but it will save you some head banging in the future.

Where are you seeing the "unrecognized object", in the game window or in the console?
