Love this program. I especially like the fact that you are building in some editing capability.

We have always needed an InsideUO-style program that also allowed editing. I also really appreciate that you have open sourced it, there are a lot of examples of UO editing/viewing out there but not too many written in C#.
Some bug reports for v3.1c. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit edition with 8 gigs of RAM.
1. Accessing the AnimData tab locks up the program.
2. Opening the fonts tab causes an unhandled exception if fonts.mul is write protected.

Feature Requests:
I'd love to see some kind of summary as to how many slots were available for each type of art. Static Art, Terrain, Gumps, Animations, and Wearable/Equippables. Also some easy way to pull up and/or export these lists.
Another cool feature would be the ability to compare 2 UO installs and to list the differences between them (art, gumps, etc.)

@Turley: Nice tool and maybe i switch from mulpatcher to uofiddler.
1.)
I'd like to see some kind of plugin interface which is able to display ogre3d meshes in comparsion with the original art image.
The management of ~7000art-tiles and ~4000meshes is very complicated by iris and i ever wanted a tool where i can manage all uo stuff in one tool.
Like our Webtool:
http://ghoulsblade.schattenkind.net/iris/irisarttool/
But this is not a managing tool, it's only a tool for displaying the current state.
2.)
Is it possible to add the functionality to send commands not only to the UO Client but also to Iris2? You know Iris is open source and if you need something changed in Iris2 for this functionality i will do.
cheers and keep rolling

Just thought I'd pop in and say: Awesome work on this tool! The features already implemented are great, and potential features for the future looks promising.

Turley I am getting an exception on launch of UOFiddler since 31b. I had no trouble with 2.8. Here is th info in the exception window:
Code: Select all
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at FiddlerControls.AnimData.set_CurrAnim(Int32 value)
at UoFiddler.UoFiddler.InitializeComponent()
at UoFiddler.UoFiddler..ctor()
at UoFiddler.Program.Main()
I am running Windows Vista x86 SP1 with all updates from Microsoft current as of January 20, 2009.
I have UOFiddler in a non-protected (not C:\Program Files) directory and have tried running it as administrator just to make sure it was not a case of needing a higher privilege.

AnimData tab is still causing the program to lock up in 3.1d. (Same system specs as before). And actually its even worse now because now I can't even get task manager to close the program for me.

hmmm HellRazor can you maybe sent me your animdata. I have really no idea what could be the cause, there is nothing special in the code.

Turley, Thanks! That last update fixed my issue. FYI if it is of any help, I don't seem to have the animation issue that HR does.
HellRazor, a howdy to you. Do you have any contact with Punt? I really need a version of his map editor that works under Vista. Maybe just a recompile might do it. PM me if you know any secrets to making it work in Win Vista.

Hey guys! Yeah, I'm an old POL user from way back but switched to RunUO. Hope you don't hold that against me.
Punt has pretty much dropped out of the UO scene but you might be able to catch him at ryandor.com or runuo.com (he is punt59 there). Not sure how often (or even if) he checks those boards any more tho.
Turley, whatever the problem is, its not with the animdata.mul. I'm using it on a clean UO install and have tried it on more than one install. It might have something to do with Vista 64-bit? Not sure but its the only tab that doesn't work. The program becomes unresponsive and never comes back.

I'm seriously in love with this tool.
Turley: I noticed there's already implemented support for sending client commands to travel around them map, is there any chance you could add a similar feature to the Items-tab? A way to send a (somewhat customizable) command to the client with an itemID so people can add items directly from your tool and into the game (independently of which emulator is in use)? I've been longing for a feature like that ever since I first tried InsideUO back in the day.
Forgive me for asking if there already is such a feature and I just missed it.

Got bored so I wrote you a plugin for item creation.
-Adds a contextmenu entry "Send Item to Client"
-Adds Optionform to plugins menu to customize the cmd
Simply copy it to your plugins dir and load it over the Manageform.

Works like a charm! Thanks
Additional idea, though more of a bonus feature:
Option in the plugin that, if enabled, does the "Send Item to Client"-part whenever an item is double-clicked, instead of opening a new window with the item details (which all seem to be displayed on the right hand-side anyway).

Hehe k, to do so I have do modify UOFiddler, the current plugin interface only allows to add an additional eventhandler, so it would open the detailform _and_ sends it to the client

(Or I'm to dumb to clear the eventhandler)
So you have to wait a bit

Turley, am I correct in my understanding, the plugin system only allows registering ONE event handler per plugin?
If that is the case, he can make an additional plugin for dbl click event from client? Or, do you not have that access with client?
