Turley, I could really find useful, the ability to Go To Coordinates on the Map Viewer. Just something small, but can be handy when wanting to view specifics without searching for it (I AM LAZY!) hehehe.

Another request..... :)

Landties page, no decimal numbers, only hex.
Yeah I know, it's trivial, but I have been playing with Punt's MapGenerator this week and it uses decimal land tile numbers!

Hey Turley,
Any chance you can add "cook my dinner" to UO Fiddler?
But seriously, thanks for adding all our requests to UOF.

I'm waiting for you to get around to adding map editing to the program.
*smiles*
No hurry though.
I can wait.

Editing animations 1 by 1 should be a nice feature, so that if you for example only want to change the ogre attack animation but not the others, you could do that.

I hit Turley last night on the irc channel with map editing, pointing out the WorldForge doesn't work with Vista. (Of course there are other tools but I had to be dramatic.) Then I felt sorry for him and he made it abundantly clear that he would NOT appreciate being asked to do map editing. I quickly stored my request for statics editing/removing/moving too. Perhaps he isn't ready to make a CentrED, even a 2d one.

I had better success asking for hues editing and this is a friendly reminder.

Hey, another thing missing - both tiledata pages are missing decimal numbers too you know! He really doesn't want to ever finish this project.

And another nice feature should be animdata editing for the object based animations.

I was wondering if you could change the "mouse over selects" in the landtiles and textures tabs to "left-click selects". That's how it is in the items tab and seems the more logical way.

Too bad about the map editing.

Punts map editor stopped working under Vista a couple MS updates ago. I've had other proggies that stop working after an updsate then suddenly start working again after a few more updates. I haven't tried it this week to see if it works again.

If I could I'd recompile Punts map editor in Vista but I:
I. Don't have the source code
b. Don't own a C compiler
3. Have tried once to compile other C programs before with no good coming from it due to errors and the fact that I don't know C.
and
iv. Well, I can't think of a fourth reason.

So... Turley, you can ignore my map editing request if you wish.

Version 3.0

About mapediting feature:
no, noo, noooo!!!! :)
I suggest to use CentrED the best mapediting tool out there. I know a bit about how complicated it is to make a usable mapeditor, when CentrED got opensource I submitted a few patches like regional restrictions...
So no...nooo....noooooooo :)

First, thanks for this wonderful tool!

I leave you a few ideas, which I found useful:

* Edit/Rename Skills
* Replace Sounds
* Edit Multis ;)

I can't believe how much this util has improved on InsideUO and made item addition sooooo much easier :)

I have a request for a feature, not sure if it would be used by many people tho, but it might be a time saving option for some.

I have a verdata.mul file from my old shard with loads of custom items in it which is now useless due to verdata being depreciated.
Any chance of a verdata tab which will read that file so I can view the graphic# and help with adding them to the same spots in the items tab.

If the above is possible, maybe also a function on the verdata tab to automatically transfer an item from the verdata tab to item tab in the same graphic# slot?

Just some suggestions, keep up the fantastic work

The verdata is beeing read. So if you want your items from verdata to for example art.mul simply push the save button and a new art.mul/idx will be created with all the verdata items in it.

InsideUO had a nice feathure of colouring stuff that was sourced from the verdata. I don't think there is an easy way of telling from the fiddler screens.

Yes we too are also in the process of removing years of verdata rubbish in order to patch the muls directly. It's a massive task indeed.

I used myself MulPatcher to go over from Verdata to the other .mul files, because that program has a nice coloring feature for verdata arts and gumps too. So it should be nice to have a feature in UoFiddler too that it should make the arts and gump tiles different color if the entries are in verdata.

So it does, my mistake :)

Tried and tested and it works fine, thanks.

Also, i agree with the 2 comments above, some sort of indication on gumps and items if they're in verdata would be a welcome addition (Inside UO's coloring of items was useful but the (p) next to gumps wasn't that great)

I have one belated request - once again to do with the options.xml file.
Can I suggest a change - that we only have one place where the mul file path is stored instead of repeating it 50 times for each entry.
1 path entry but 50 entries for the actual filenames.
If we want to alter the path for one file (say you are working on a map project) then putting the whole path and file name in an entry would override the one path setting.

I realise I am probably the only one who uses unique filenames, but this would be so handy.
