Since I've already gotten replies to this to satisfy me (at least considering the 'quality' of people who generally hang out here), and since some (see replies below) seem to have old axes to grind, I'm withdrawing my post. It's refreshing to see the 'community' here never really changes.

I am an expert when it comes to verdata editing. I love doing gumps and have mastered runuo, pol and lonewolfs gump techniques. I will do all your work when I have time under one condition.
You must give all your art work and a majority of your scripts to the comunity to better its existance. This is my price.

Do you think just getting on here and asking for someone to build art and MUL files is not going to draw a little attention. Yeah, we can do it but there is a cost.
"I am not looking for Admin/Gm/Seer ect ect. Just want someone to build art files, must be good." What do we get out of it? All I ask is you share your scripts. That is not a large price.
Furthermore, how is POL dead because we will not do your work? I am not going to turn this into a fluff fest so I will make it short. The only way a project like this "dies" is when the community suddenly thinks that contributing is nuts. EVery person has their sacred shard, with their "sacred" secret scripts. I put in my time and 'contributions' here. As I said in my post; I will discuss details privately with someone who is interested. What someone gets out of it is between me and them. They certainly don't have any right to tell me what to do with my own hard work, though. You certainly don't have any right at all to tell me what to do with my own hard work, nor to try to convict me on 'helping the community'. I've helped this community more with my little pinky than you ever will with your whole being. What I got back in return was the kind of idiocy that this thread contains. Demands about how I should be doing this or should be doing that; how I'm not helpful or I'm not 'nice' or I'm not... bleh.
People don't want help. They want handouts and people to do their work for them for free. They want free scripts and free config files and free artwork and free this and that. My help was real, useful, correct and detailed information about how to accomplish this or that, and how to go beyond simple 'cut-and-paste' scripting to something better. Telling people how to take hold of what's already in POL to make their own unique world, as I have. Not just to take my scripts and copy my world.
I get soooo sick and tired of the "If you don't give me anything for free, you aren't contributing!" bull. As I said: The details of what I give someone who helps me with my request are between that person and I. You posted your 'price' publicly, though; so you got your answer publicly.
I simply posted asking for discussions with interested parties. Those not interested but who put in their 2 cents anyway should not whine and moan when they get 2 cents back. Those who boldly post their 'price' should not whine and moan when their 'price' is rejected out of hand.

I don't know what happened to you Marilla. Private problems, frustration about the internet or the pol forums? But you should stop that. Your Barbeirosa attacks of frustration didn't solve your problems. And this new attacks won't do that also, i think. If you don't like Pol or the community any more, please leave it. Normal people like me would do that, instead of trying to make trouble. You remember me at the moment of some 12 to 14 year old childs of my shard who try the same if they didn't get what they want. I personally remember you as one who helped people out with their problems, so I am estonished that you lately always do the "bad guy", even with double forum accounts. I hate that on my server, i hate that generally on the internet and i hope the pol devs don't react on this kind of attacks. Why could people who don't like something anymore just leave, instead of telling everybody else who are interested that they also should leave.
I do not mean to cause anger. I do not like drama. I am simply stating a fact. Yes, I see that you help alot. Yes, I am new on the forums here, I have been scripting pol for a few years and am now ready to write tutorials and such in hope of teaching the newest so in turn they can help new people so on and so forth.

First, in Marilla's defense, I think it's a lot to ask for a developer to hand over his/her scripts. I used to hate it that people would not share their custom scripts with me but having developed a few things for my shard (yes I am not a total idiot and can script) I am more understanding of the need/desire to keep what's yours.
Second, Marilla is correct in that he has been a resource for help with problems and general teaching.
Third, most probably don't even know what he was asking because he edited his original post so this thread is basically moot now.
I am sorry for whatever caused his change in attitude. He would say that he hasn't changed but whatever the case, his scripting help and teaching are missed here.
