I use Ultra Edit 32. I believe Shinigami, Adam (MadMan) and OldnGrey also use it.

Its the program thats been used by scripters the longest so it tends to have the most support.

Edit:
Link to a file showing ways to use UE for POL.
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.cgi/ ... c?view=log
Under the Links to HEAD: select 'Download'

I use EditPlus2. There are support files for it and instructions for setting it up her eon the forums, in the wiki and included with the Distro. They are all up-to-date with 96.

I assume by tools XtehseA means editors.

Notepad powerful? Simple I grant you, but powerful?????? How about edlin?

Without starting turf wars, ultraedit or any editor with pol syntax highlighting and line numbers will be most useful.

I am one of those people who pay for their software. Ultraedit is cheap and updated regularly and includes a good hex editor for those client hacks. I can also recommend Ultracompare for its great file and directory compare features especially if you maintain more than 1 set of scripts.

Why would you pay when you can get free.

Pay for a program, that edits text, saves it, or get a free program that edits text, saves it.

I use TextPad with syntax highlighting, compiling, file compare, etc etc etc. We've included a syntax file in 096+ distro for it also. Along with several other editors :D

I missed this one but I use Scite editor available from Firedancer's shard page. It has support for lots of languages including eScript.

Haven't tried it yet, but great to see someone working on a POL eScript editor.

Keep it up ELSoft.
