No but there was one for POL 92 to 94. It was Java based.

The hardest part of converting to POL 95 from 92 will be the skill system.

What type of script were you interested in converting?

That class system is going to be a hard conversion.

Oh don't worry. I won't.

*grins*

If I recall I tried doing that one on my first shard and it was a kluge, a buggy kluge, at best. What you are experiencing is what I experienced when I first started scripting/wanting to run a shard.

You want it to be the best damn shard around and don't want to wait on your skills to grow enough to get it there. You will learn if you just keep trying. Start small. Look at the simple dot commands and learn from them.

No one is going to write a class system like you want it, believe me. Class systems are very tightly integrated into a shard scriptbase and most scripters won't give you one they wrote anyway. Even if they do it will have something that you don't like and won't be able to change because you didn't write it.

Learn to write one yourself if you want one. That will accomplish atleast two things.

1. You will have exactly the system you want and...
2. You will be much more proud of it than if someone gave you one.

I do know that because I had a complete shard with class system dropped in my lap and I was never happy with it. That's why I am starting over from the basic Distro. I was never happier with my shard than when I was the one creating the elemental ore effects and the one scripting the items. You know I think I am more proud of my Lifestones package than anything else I have done with POL because that is my package. I wrote almost all of it from scratch. The only piece of copied code was from a small command used on World of Dreams.

So, be patient with yourself and learn. This is not an attempt to discourage you from asking for scripts. I ask for them still sometimes. What I am trying to impress on you is that you will feel so much more pride if you do it yourself.

I did the same thing.....
I got that original class and crafting system from Mytharria and finally got it going on the 094 distro. Then I switched to WoD scripts and did it all again.

Point is, to this day my shard has some awkward coding from that original work done years ago even though I stopped using a class system. (It uses a LOT of global and cprops to hold things)

So, you have big ideas just the same as I did when I started. On the bright side, if you do get it working you will feel you have really achieved something - I certainly did. There are enough clues in that system to make it a challenge that you can actually achieve success. And when you do get it working you will know so much more than you do now!

I would say that it is a challenge but it is definitely not for the neophyte or the weak of heart to attempt converting

I am encouraging you.

*smiles*

I am encouraging you to be patient and not to give up. You will get there.

Even some of us who think we are there still have a few things to learn (or remember anyway). Especially when converting POL 92 to 95/96.

*coughs*
