The website

Post by Yukiko »

First let me say I like it.

It's attractive, not too busy and the balance feels right. By 'balance' I mean the layout/formatting. Plus I'm partial to the colour blue so that helps.

I like the IRC link being there but ya' might want to add a 'Contact Us' link for peeps who just want to drop a line to the POL team. Could be a simple contact form or a list of email addy's but the form is probably the best. Ofcourse I realize the PMs on the forums accomplish basically the same thing.

You say you'd like us to provide 'words' for the page. What exactly are you looking for in the way of content? Anyone who has read my posts knows I can spew forth words fairly easily and sometimes they are actually coherent phrases that actually mean something. I can't promise I can do that all the time but you all know the hypothesis about the infinite number of monkeys...

Anyway, it is a nice webpage. I think Luth was the designer so kudos to you Luth.

I should put a contact form up there; I hadn't thought about it. Thanks for the suggestion; I'll try to remember to get that up when I get home. :)

As for "words," I think mostly Austin was making fun of me. I've been sitting on that template for a month now, but all the text was "Lorem ipsum" and I kept telling him (and others) that we need some real words to go in there. ;) Of course, if anyone wants to write for- or rewrite any of the sections, feel free.

Thanks for the Kudos; I'm pretty amateur when it comes to designing webpages, but I had the free time, so.... :D

Luth, it's pretty good for an 'amateur'. Besides 'professionals' tend to want to create eye-splitting sites with blinky things and gaudy graphics. I'd let you design a website for me if I could afford to pay you.
*grins*

BTW I'm good at giving suggestions and advice it's taking them I am bad at.
*laughs*

Anyway, it's a good design. We needed a new design and I like this one.
