moving over water

Post by Yukiko » Tue May 02, 2006 12:52 pm

I know that water tiles are impassable for players under normal circumstances but is there a way using packet hooks to allow a character to move over water? If so could someone be so kind as to post a script that would show me how? I don't want to allow everyone to "walk on water", just certain players who have that priviledge.

Thanks in advance.

The server would control that. Packet hooking something as intense as walk packets would be too much strain on the server in my opinion. Just my opinion though.

You can olways create a square (4x4) tiles witch graphic is transparent, with all needed flags for walking on it in tiledata.mul

that square should move with you.

Thanks. I may give that a try. I was just wanting to give my GMs the ability to walk over water. It seems more complicated than it's worth though.
