Maps with elevations.

Post by Yukiko » Thu Aug 29, 2013 4:31 am

Turley,
I was wondering if there is anyway to add elevation support to the exported graphic files created by UO Fiddler. Inside UO had that ability and the result is a prettier map. I have included two images to show what I mean.

I would tell you a UDP joke but you might not get it.

Hey Turley,
Have you looked into this? I know it's not a critical thing but for those who desire to make pictures of their world available to players it certainly makes the image prettier.

I tried it once years ago but fakeing such images is not easy. I gave up. but maybe I have again the notion to try it again.

Have you looked at the source code for Inside UO to see how Alazane did it? I know Inside UO was written in Delphi but maybe there might be a clue from the code. I have the source code if you need it.
Sincerely,
