It is written in VS 2005 Pro (Thx to "MSDN Academic Alliance" :D ), but i think you can use noPro Editions too.

Your Vista problem with the animation:
I did some shots in the dark ... but missed... since i only have XP i can only guess what the problem is :shame:

Luth can you please test this controls.dll version? If i understand msdn correct the viewmode tile is only supported >=winxp so i made a (hoppfully correct) versioncheck and if failed shows viewmode smallimage in the items tab.

I suspected it was an XP+ functionality. ;) I'll check it first thing when I get home.

After an unholy load time of several minutes, the Items tab left its frozen state, and began displaying items in a more-or-less appropriate size. :)

Nice.... not exact what i get.. damn it...
I think i can forget to use listview and have to paint it completely by myself.
But at least the versioncheck is working...

I'd like to beg for some more work in this utility please. As it stands it, I can't use it :(

File names - my shard doesn't use OSI filenames, so your hardcoded hues.mul, map0.mul etc are a problem (InsideUO lets you name the files whatever you like). If I edit options.xml for my own files it goes and make new entries for the OSI names.

How much effort would it be to start adding some edit features - eg I opened the cliloc page and right click an entry to bring up a text entry box with previous text there to edit. Such a little request! So while you are doing the map scaling request a few posts ago, you might as well keep going!

Heh, I'd be happy with pictures that show up the right size and a Find feature. ;)

@OldnGrey
right now only the path is saved the filenames are hardcoded, shouldnt be that problem to changed this.
mmmh editing features never had the intention to do something like that, i think there are already dozen of very good editing tools out there, like mulpatcher or for clilocs uo localization editor.

@Luth
Where are you missing a find feature? Right now in item and cliloc tabs search is implemented.
Sorry but right now i dont have the time to complete rewrite the ListView. I think the only way is to make an own listview control, but then i have to do the drawing completely by my self.. :(

I only use UOViewier to browse Mobs and Gumps since Items and Textures dont work. I usually end up using InsideUO to get find the mob I want (they're sorted alphabetically, so its like a manual-Find, I suppose...), then switch to UOViewer to get the ID (InsideUO has a bug where *some*, not all, of the mob IDs are off by one).

Turley, this software seems to have future man, keep it.

I don't like insideUO, it's slow to load stuff like gumps (you can't just hold down arrow key, if you do that, gumps will not appear), I use mulpatcher to check .mul files (not to edit), but it crashes a lot.

It may give you some trouble now, but it seems to have future.

Turley,

I realize you would be doing all the work but it really would be nice to have this grow into a viewer/editor. Believe me I understand if you don't have the time and yes I realize there are a lot of editors out there. What I like about your program is it comes from our very own community. It isn't a RunUO/Sphere utility that we use just for a few things and then switch to something else for other functions. I don't know what is involved in adding editing functionality but if it is even remotely possible I would encourage you or others to add it.

*smiles*

I am excited about your project because it is a sign that POL is still going strong.

Thats why i moved the source to our poldistro svn under tools. Some mulfile handles have already some editing functions, but i never tested them. So if anybody is interested... :)

A Top-most function could be handy.

Oh my Turley, this has just got to be expanded into actual editing of the MULs!

I don't know when you added the "dress" function but I just found it. I can see where this could bee used to add new paper doll art and then test it to see if it is aligned properly with the character.

This is a "must have" tool for working with client files.

One other thing I like about your tool is I don't have to install it. Just unzip and run!

If I may ask for a couple of things. In the fonts display could you increase the darkness of the "shadowed" 'real' text that iss in the lower corner of each square in the character set. Also would it be possible to display the ascii code in hexadecimal and decimal at the bottom of the window when a character is single-clicked on?

@Font-tab sure no problem.
Dress Tab is a feature in 1.2 :)
I came up with the idea since osi has quite a lot equipment that has wrong gump or animation settings. IG testing is quite annoying so i added it :)
