Casino and lottery?

Post by Snocks »

Hey!

What im really wondering here is why there's no built in gaming features in pol. I've been working on some things like this for my own shard. Done stuff like automated dice games against players or "the house" and currently working on a real life lottery game. Where you get to pick your numbers for the weekly draw. Also slots and such is something that would be fun I guess.

But for the question, why is this something that have not been included as standard? :)

Basically nothing in the POL core itself is standard, its all in the scripts that you write or download. If you're talking about the distro, that was up to those who scripted the distro a long time ago. Mostly they seemed to work on the essential stuff to get UO working as UO. I believe there is a post in the script releases forum talking about gaming scripts but as for their compatibility with 095, I'm not sure since 095 is extremely outdated.
