Merchant Problem : (

Post by Pobis »

Hello everyone, it´s me again, i´m kinda of new in POL.. And my question is why when I create a merchant for example: a farmer, it doesn´t corespond to any command, like buy, sel, vendor train anything! he just continues <random> and the name of the vendor, and he doesn´t walk, and the normal commands not function anyway....
Can someone help me please, or give me any idea....
Thanks! :o

POL095 distro and core?

Do any other merchants work?

It's been a long time since I've played with 095 but I remember you had to make merchant nodes and then from the merchant node make merchants.

Merchant nodes are the actual objects responsible for listening for commands like "vendor buy", etc..

Are you making merchant nodes and it still wont work?

use .createnode to create a node and then use the node to spawn the merchants. The gump that comes up when you use the node has buttons for node functions.

Well, the only vendors that work actually is the banker and the healer.. the other ones don´t work...
I don´t have that node commando or anything similar... : (

If you are running the POL 0.95 Distro then you have the createnode command. That is assuming you compiled all scripts in the Distro archive.

Look in \pol\pkg\systems\merchantnodes\textcmd\gm for the script createnode.src

If you don't have that directory then I don't think you are running the POL 0.95 Distro.
