I setup a new distro based of the September 01, 2008 core and Sept 02, 2008 scripts. If I run the server on Windows XP I can login OK. If I copy the directory onto a linux server (Debian) the client is unabble to login. The pol.log file says:
POL097-2008-09-01 Coregina (gentoo) compiled on Sep 1 2008 21:53:47 running.
[09/28 16:12:49] Game is active.

Client#1 i/o thread past initial lock

No applicable servers for client connecting from 192.168.1.10
Client#1 (192.168.1.10): disconnected (account admin)
I have searched for what I see as the applicable error message "No applicable servers for client connecting from 192.168.1.10" but have found nothing. I am posting this here becuase the only difference in the server runnin on Windows or Linux is the core.
I have checked
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: No applicable servers for client connecting from
does config/servers.cfg exist? If so, what does it contain?
Re: No applicable servers for client connecting from
Ah, yes the WAN section was incorrect. I fixed it and can login OK now. Thanks for the help. I guess this thread can be moved out of the core bugs section.
Re: No applicable servers for client connecting from
Nah, it's better if there are a few threads in here that are either not real bugs or fixed. Makes us feel like we're less of failures.

But what you can do to make things more organized and such is to possibly prepend posts with [Resolved] with posts that came to an agreeable resolution. This way you can skim through the forum every now and then (like after being away and possibly forgetting your place) and be able to lock onto posts of interest just by the topic.
