Missing CheckIntegrity documentation.

Post by Yukiko » Sun Aug 20, 2017 1:45 am

I came across a setting in pol.cfg files that doesn't appear in the docs for pol.cfg, CheckIntegrity.

According to references made in core-changes.txt it still appears to be a valid setting for pol.txt.

The two references I found are:

Code: Select all

03-08 Racalac
Very Significant speed improvement for all SystemFindObjectBySerial calls (including internal ones)! Your
start-up times (with CheckIntegrity enabled) should be vasty improved.
and

Code: Select all

02-09 Racalac
Changed: CheckIntegrity=1 in pol.cfg now also checks storage areas and offline character for duplicate serial
items (This extends start up times).
Sincerely,
Yukiko

I would tell you a UDP joke but you might not get it.

The core ignores that parameter and assumes it's always true. Unfortunately I can't find when it changed, but it was more than 8 years ago (that's the limit of our history). Must have been right after this speed increase.
