YAY a post i can help with! ive caused/solved lots of problems anyway, 3 questions.

1. what client are you using? Stygan Abyss client is really buggy with pol and only really supported on the 99 development release, even then its buggy. Mondains Legacy is the recomended client untill 99 is finished.

2. are there any errors when it crashed? go to (your shard)/pol(date).txt, or go to (your shard)/pol.txt (eg mine is D:\shard\broken blade\log\pol.txt). All of the logs are very helpful determinign an answer like this because these will show any errors you have while running pol. (please post them up as a response if you have any)

3. how far in does it crash? does it crash while logging in, or does it crash after taking a few steps in the world, etc.

I had this happen once where if someone entered a region, the client crashed and they couldn't log back in while in that region. In my case, it was on a test shard that didn't have all of the scripts ready yet and in regions.cfg I had an EnterScript for that region that didn't exist yet. In my case, it also did log an exception in pol.log about it.

(and just a note for core devs and people using the SVN, this crash I experienced was fixed in rev. 286)

Im using a POL 95 ( i Guess) with ZuluHotel scripts.

in pol.cfg on ClientEncryptVersion=ignition

i tried ignition, tried 1.26.4, 5.0.3, 2.0.3 and nothing.

my UO its the Mondays Legacy. when i open Client.exe shows me Age of Shadows, its correct?

lol pol95 with client 5.x? no way... you can try a lower 4.x client...

ihave downloaded one client 4.0.0c but when i try to run he got on error:
"Ultima online does not appears to be installed ....Please re-install...."

Any Idea?

mmm so just to be sure, you tired entering your client encription like this too:

thats what mine is set to. with encription it lets only clients with that encription connect wich seems like a possible cause?

even still it sounds like you've got a client problem as turley said. you would be better off on 97 atleast for a pol core. upgrading the distro isnt too hard, just needs patience and time and a small amount of knowledge (hell i done it! lmao).


if you dont want to upgrade your scripts, zulu hotel is avaliable on multiple cores
