Is the tent owned? Is it a house?

There is a parameter in pol.cfg that controls if items decay in private houses

but that item will be decaying in all of multis

item should be decayed only when is lying on the ground in the tent

Then you have to do a control script of some kind for that house type that do that job for you, I think.

I believe the server applies the same rules to the ground in a tent the same way it does to the floor in a house or the deck of a ship. I know that because it's ground tiles you would expect things to decay on it but the server doesn't make a distinction between ground tiles and floor tiles. Every server I've used or played on acted the same way. I suppose you could write a control script that checks to see if the item is on a ground tile and if so then allow decay. Personally I'd let it stay as it is. From an RP perspective you should be able to leave things in a tent and not have them decay I would think. Anyway, that last bit was opinion and should not be taken for anything else : )

start checking with item.multi if it gives you multiRef or 0 as return value.
if it gives the multiRef its controlled by DecaysOnMultis ( if you are using the core decayer )
if it doesnt give it should decay as all other normal items. There is also the CanDecay syshook but it doesnt help you with this much
