Packet 0xBF sub 0x22 (damage display)

Here you can discuss packets, implementation and design, and software related to the packet sniffing and such. This is not the place to post packages for POL, but rather discuss the packet side of them.

Packet 0xBF sub 0x22 (damage display)

Post by coltain » Sun Oct 21, 2007 10:51 am

Subcommand 0x22: Damage
BYTE[1] unknown, always 1
BYTE[4] Serial
BYTE[1] Damage // how much damage was done ?

I have it hooked. Is it possible to do this effect with another color and with the number going down (not up)???

I tried to use graffic effect packet but it only accepts Objects ID.

Pretty sure this is hardwired in the client. All the packet hook does is tell the client to perform the preset function of displaying the info but the client determines the colour and direction of travel for the numbers. If I am wrong then someone can correct me.

I would tell you a UDP joke but you might not get it.
