Re: [Help]New Server, POL 098 Clients?
098 will be an excellent choice, since it supports now all 2D client versions (even the latest 6.0.13.0 client). 098 Final should be out in a month, maybe less depending on bug reports and stability (working hard to accomplish this goal). The client you choose, is only depending on the features you ...

Re: [Pol098beta-2009-02-18, bugs?]
Ok, bug, in a sense, found. The issue is only in reading the Character.resist_fire member. This is due to the base being read plus the mod at the same time. Character Base is calculated at intervals, which is a combined total from all items and mods. Is the status bar showing the correct amount of F...

Re: [Pol098beta-2009-02-18, bugs?]
Core handles damage and resists for AOS method storage as this: Base for item + It's mod, gets added to the character's base Resist for that type. This is, of course accumulative. 5 items with 20 Fire base, and no mod, would be 100 Fire on the character. If 5 mod on each, 125 total fire on the chara...

Ok, bug found (and a unique one at that!). Fixed, and recompiling now.
As soon as done, will send you a new core build to continue trying Core Essence.

Re: [Pol098beta-2009-02-18, bugs?]
Ok, firstly, removing the Resource ore 3 line would be an immediate fix. HOWEVER, this does point to a problem (this should NOT be causing a crash, hehe). FYI, this build includes over 100 memory leak fixes, some of which include the Regions and Resources systems like Ore, Wood, etc. That being said...

Re: [Pol098beta-2009-02-18, bugs?]
From what I can see on the crashes, it is for Objtype 3921, during the cleanup process (item deletion either at shutdown or manually deleted)
What is the info on that objtype ?

Re: [Pol098beta-2009-02-18, bugs?]
I will send you a more updated core (Pre-RC 1 build) to test with. All these should be worked out now for you. I have been testing these with Tomi and a few others to work the bugs out for the first Release Candidate of 098. Expect it in a PM shortly. You can post results to this thread so we can ke...

What one crash appeared like is this scenario:
AI, loading, it goes to add the ReadGameClock() into an Array, and boom crash.

Re: 'bad allocation' errors
Worse case scenario if I can't find anything, might need a zip of the scriptbase itself to try to reproduce the crash on startup. But, first we'll worry about those scripts causing the crash and go from there.

Re: 'bad allocation' errors
I'm also seeing a crash in adding to an array. Could be the left side (the array itself) was having a problem, or similar issue.
Those scripts that crashed, can you post the src so I can look over it?

Re: 'bad allocation' errors
One crash isolated at shutdown (and it was caused by a previous crash that prevented a script (the previous crash) to not get removed from the executor's list of running scripts. That crash has been fixed (even though should never happen). Now, in your pol.log you should have a few exceptions around...

over 512..... sounds like a bad memory stick in the pc. Might look at a new one from a old pc, or new from store, or from a flea market or some such (so as not to spend a lot on it)

Re: Problems With Dundees other Hand
You need to make sure you are giving the correct full template name.
Such as "gorilla" or, if it's in a package, include the package name like so ":pkgname:gorilla" like that, in order to create it correctly.

It will be coming soon we hope. We have a few people testing out small bugs for us, so the next release can possibly be a Release Candidate for 098. If you want to see all the most recent changes, you can go to the Documentation site for 098 and see a semi-live changelog from our development cvs: ht...

If you are bored.... Another ContextMenu Not Finished
Since this has been asked for, figured I would post it on here. It's an old working example of several 0xBF Packethooks, including a config driven system for the Contextmenu hooks. Hope someone finds it all usefull (the uclang hook is useless, it's made obsolete by a core feature I added a long time...
