OK Poi. Go to the Custom SCript Releases forum. There is now a POL 95 version there. You will need to create a directory under \pol\pkg named runebook. Unzip the files contained within the zip file to that new directory.

I am in the process of switching to an HTML main page and then using the stand-alone PHP-BBS system like they have done here with the POL website. I am not "nuke" savvy enough to create a nice looking site in PHPNuke.

OK Poi. Sorry about the 96 requirement. I will post a 95 version for you.

I really apologize for that. I get confused now that we have the test core forum combined with the released core.

I should have it posted later today.

I guess they use the Aux service but I don't understand how that works. Ofcourse I haven't looked at any Aux scripts either. A tiny tutorial on Aux service might be helpful.

Aeros, contact me or look on Maud Dib's site for help with editing the gumps/art files. Maud has a good tutorial there. It helped me move a lot of the verdata stuff to my gumpart file and using it I was able to add a lot of new clothing and things.

Now don't give up. You just have to keep plugging away.

There's no shame in asking for scripts either despite what some others who post here might think. I ask all the time and I've been around for ages.

Sorry if I came off a bit harsh. I was having a bad day.

In objtypes.inc the bankbox is defined as using this obtype number for the container: 0x0e40. If you look in the itemdesc.cfg file in the \pol\config directory you will see this entry: Container 0x0E40 { Name MetalChest desc metal chest Gump 0x004A MinX 44 MaxX 143 MinY 65 MaxY 140 RequiresAttention...

Here are the arm and disarm scripts from World of Dreams. These are basically what you are asking for. They provide three sets of equip and unequip user defined items. There is even a text file with user instructions included. I cannot provide support for them. They may need tweaking to compile und...

Shilohen's Runebook3 for POL 95 & 96

Here's the Runebook3 script from POL 92 written by Shilohen. I updated it to compile under POL 96. I am uploading this because of problems with the POL 95 Distro runebook script. You should create a directory under \pol\pkg baned runebook and place the files contained in the zip file there. Note: I ...

Yeah that's one possibility.

Alot of it depends on how good POL is at garbage collection too once a var is no longer needed. Ofcourse it would have to be out of scope for POL to know it was no longer needed.

Well, not knowing how POL works internally, and just looking at it from my limited point of view, I would think that if, in your example, params was equal to POL objects, which we learned are references, setting params equal to 0 might have little or no effect. If however you have a variable like th...

Kylee, I didn't offer the script for several reasons. 1. I think the developer of the POL 95 Distro runebook script which is giving so much headache should help out here and fix it. That's assuming the author of that script is still around. 2. The script I have isn't just a plug n' play script. It i...

I am somewhat familiar with the virtual machine system as I was first introduced to structured programming with UCSD Pascal which used a compiled pseudo code (P-code). The "core" for USCD executed the P-code just like POL does. That was back in the days before we ever knew what a virtual m...

I think you stated what CWO was saying. Maybe your explanation is phrased with proper nomemclature though. Basically objects passed in function calls are by their nature "byref" or if you prefer, pointers to the instance of an object. Either way isn't the functionality the same? I have to ...
