Re: Installation POL server
First of all especially as a beginner I would suggest to simply use the binaries yukiko publishes the latest is: https://forums.polserver.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=6198 Second about building on your own: 2015 is possible but since you seem to have downloaded it I would suggest to use the latest v...

Yes decay_at with the value of 0 means disabled decay, so once it's 0 the core will never touch it again.

Use a print around your createmultiatlocation function and check your console why it fails.

Re: CreateMulti txtcommand
The graphic entry for houses/boats is no more needed since pol099. So just define the multiid as you added it via fiddler and choose a free object type.
(P.s. you can also create multis via fiddler, no need to use uoa )

Are you sure that you decrypted the client or used the correct cryptkey in your uoclient.cfg?

Re: Outstanding 099 Core Issues?
Thx for the feedback. The main problem is that the split to pol100 was in the transition phase (which isn't completed yet) of the buildsystem. The readme on github sadly doesn't switch between the branches. So I think I will backport the buildsystem to the pol099 branch once all is finished. About t...

Instead of disabling the light you can also change the light pattern. Should be the quality entry. (Via the light tab in fiddler you can check which pattern is the best by selecting the item)

A potential fix could be to replace the current setlocale( LC_TIME, "" ); In clib/Program/ProgramMain.cpp With std::setlocale(LC_ALL, ""); std::setlocale(LC_NUMERIC, "C"); std::locale::global(std::locale(std::locale(""), std::locale("C"), std::locale...

Re: compiling, and getting thing to work
If you have extracted the boost archive in lib try in pol-core/bin-build
./build_tools.sh -p
And rerun cmake again.

Boost does not need to be installed, you only need to extract the archive in the libs folder, have you done that?

Yes that's exactly the function you should use:
Var ismultiloc:=listmultisinbox(x,y,z,x,y,z,realm).size()>0;
Var ismultiloc:=listmultisinbox(x,y,z,x,y,z,realm).size()>0;

Re: General Tips and Tricks POL Development
Forget to mention "use":
The only special meaning which exists is the npc.em. you can only have them in AI scripts, the remaining are just for grouping the functions. So I see also no reason to not have them in include files. It makes no difference where they are.

Re: General Tips and Tricks POL Development
Since yukiko asks so nice I will write a bit about it :) I also do not get the second point about not including in an include. It makes in my opinion no sense to force the user of your interface to know your internal dependencies (in any language). If I want to eg kill a character which is defined a...

Re: The starthere batch files
Now I looked into ecompile.bat
* The option "Compile updated scripts only." Doesn't do what the title suggests since it doesn't generate the dep files.
* Does someone really need such a long list of options? (See my post above I need maximum 2 )

Re: The starthere batch files
I personally always compile with: -Au -T -D This way I never have to think about what I have to compile depending on what I changed. In case of em file changes I delete all ecls (or you could add a -f) In former days I only had additionally in my editor a shortcut to compile the current file with -f...

Re: Some questions about settings in the cfg files.
SingleThreadDecay: I would say the preffered setting is True. In former days or without this setting active each realm has a dedicated thread with the only purpose to iterate over the complete map to find items to destroy. With this setting active it's only one thread for all realms. ThreadDecayStat...

It's currently a manual step via the homepage. (I updated it) thus not really possible in a nice way currently to automate it.
