Re: Question Regarding Skills Design

It shouldn't be hard. I started from scracth and look what I could accomplish! Ok it took me about 2 years but still ;). Dang, if time weren't missing I would have spend 5 other years just to accomplish THE PERFECT SERVER muahahaha. However, if you feel something is worth sharing go ahead man. This ...

Re: Spells Bug

It's because distro099 actually uses the buff icon system. I'm not sure when exactly that feature was added to client but 6.0.1 has it and it works well. I may have added a link to allow or disallow the feature in pkg/systems/timedScripts/config/settings.cfg

Re: Question Regarding Skills Design

Lucky you! Some work done so far with distro099 are quite not far from what you are seeking so you can easily see how systems are inter-reliated and modify on your own if necessary. The basics can be found in the pkg/systems/classes, pkg/items/equipment, pkg/systems/attributes, pkg/systems/combat, p...

POL Distro Development

Greetings POL users, It is with pleasure I announce that some new updates will be made to the distro shortly. In mind, I will put efforts to manage the distro with many more customizations within the configurations as required for an open project. Lucky us, some new goals in my mind that may give PO...

Re: Pol 0.99 Distro

Several client features Distro099 uses are from v6.0.1. This works best with 6.0.1 and higher. Only thing that come up in my mind is the buff icons and the damage notification that could potentially be harmfull if you are not using those versions..

Complete Auction System

Enjoy!

That is a very comon auction system.

This can be easily used with POL099.

The process is secure and there is no risk for duping gold or items.

Re: AR versus Physical Protection.

Well, in my opinion ar rating & physical protection shall be 2 different things. So on our server a player can wear a crafted armor with an average of 80-90 max ar rating then they can find physical protection from monster loot up to level 6 ( as defined previously +5% protection against melee/r...

Re: AR versus Physical Protection.

Not sure which distro you are using. Physical protection can be found in the combat pkg. It may represent + 5% protect / level. Level 1: -5% melee/ranged damage received. Level 2: -10% melee/ranged damage received. .... That is only if you are using the distro099. Otherwise I would suggest you to lo...

In-Game Language

I'm unsure where to ask.. I've been told that chinese symbols does'nt appear correctly with my project. So I wonder if it's the core or the distro used. Anyone know? I guess it's the core and if so, is there anything changed since let's say POL096? Nothing appear in changelogs. Maybe it is related t...

Re: Open Source - yes/no?

From another point of view. Going open-source can provide other serious users more powerfull knowledge. By that I mean that when I grab a new project, I'm interested on yes the systems but most definitely the structures of it, how this person built his systems, how it is organized, the functions of ...

It's awesome how it works but a major visual downgrade with the old gump menus. I started modify so this could be used with the Distro099 crafting menus. I do not garantee it will be this weekend, it depends on how I feel!
