Insert Scripts

Hi, just a question for container insert scripts. If a script tries creating an object in a full container it won't succeed, so apart from making the check in the createitem script (which should be done anyway) is there a way to check if an item was succesfully inserted into a container via the inse...

Multi.items Bug

Hi, I've encountered the following bug. If you place say a table in a house and put an object ontop of it the item.multi reports it as being in that house. But when multi.items is used the item on the table isn't listed. I've tried putting multiple items at the same coordinates, raising z level etc ...

i was just looping through the array of numbers something like this

newarray := oldarray
foreach prop in newarray
oldarray[prop] := prop;
endforeach

since all the prop names were the numbers i wanted sorting.

anyway, why does the sort function sort that that?

sorting an array

hi basically i just have props stored in a file with their names as numbers. Pol sorts numbers like (10, 100, 11, 12, 13, 14) etc. Is there any way to sort the numbers in a numericaly correct sequence?

I'm getting this error "No resource-bearing landmark there". I've checked the .landtile number and its in the correct regions/cfg file. What would cause this?

Since you converted I'm betting you still have MoveItemToLocation in open_door.src. Change it to MoveObjectToLocation.

If this is the case then i recommend that you recompile all your scripts to catch any other conversions you need to do.

Well that file you don't edit.

You probably want to edit the oncreate.src, located in scripts/misc/oncreate.src.

There you can just set the properties you want onto the character.

item.usescript

This doesn't seem to be working on 90% of the objects ive tried it on. I've had a good look at itemdesc for items to see if there are any major differences in the items that DO report a usescript and those that DON"T. Cant find anything though, its not particular to type (Container, item, weapon, et...

Cant think of any script that attaches by default at log on. I mean theres logon and oncreate but they are different in that they run to completion before the player can log off anyway.

Just did some testing and came up with this.

-After attach and log off, the script stops running

-If not attached in first place and log off, the script continues running

-If attached and then detached BEFORE player logs off, then the script continues running.
