Re: When to use Detach()

Hi, as far as i know Start_Script starting already detached script, but you can easily test it with character.attached() method, so you can see which script is attached atm. A script is attached when you use any item and get sysmessage "you are already doing another action". So if you want to avoid ...

Re: Filedumps... Core updated 04-11-2014

we rewrite not for fun we do it to fix bugs, improve speed, memory usage. Pol has a very old codebase so many things have to be rewritten. On the shard I work for we always try to keep the core up to date to test and use the new features. No current problems found. But since every shard has its own...

You can create a script with infinite loop and events listner. Connect there to sql, wait for events and write events info into database whole time.

Re: POL core now on GitHub

Hi Nando, maybe a silly question, but knowing absolutely nothing about git :) You can get the files using either git or svn (GitHub accepts both). So I can still use my favorite subversion client to check out sources? What about revisions? I will still see an history with what has been fixed? No, s...

I think there is no guide.
You should just open the VS Project file and build it (F9)
Nothing else.

Re: Online Map

There is much more WEB work as POL scripting.

On the POL side just use AUX connections like its done here http://forums.polserver.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2034
and send info about players coordinates to WEB.

WEB side is another question. You should ask it on WEB_Devs forums

I would say you have problems with your client (muls)
It doesn't look like a screenshot from your first message :D

if you press at this blue gem, you must see this 'corner' gump somewhere.
If not - your client is broken.

Turn on ToggleBuffIconWindow in your client. (Press STATUS @ Paperdoll, and then click at blue gem on the left side of status gump)
You must have this 'corner' gump on your screen.

Re: Buff Icon Window

Code: Select all

   var send_buff := SendBuffPacket(who, 1, CInt(amount), CInt(duration), icon, cliloc1, cliloc2);
   if( !send_buff )
What for is this check there?
It's just a nonsense.
Function SendBuffPacket returns FALSE everytime. It doesnt make any sense to check it.
