Re: UOFiddler (ex UOViewer) (ex InsideUO alternative)

I am sooo sorry Turley, But I am afraid I have a lot more work for you now. It seems, we have agreed that UOFiddler should get it's own website at polserver.com. That means more work on a site for you. I know it breaks your heart though, that you are getting your own site for this tool. Congrats bro...

Re: 'bad allocation' errors

Also, check logofftest.src and logoff.src please. I mention these two, because the childs could be the wait etc triggered in one of these for the client and all to time out and log the character officially out. If you continue to have this, and can reproduce it EVERY SHUTDOWN, try setting those to a...

Re: Mount Item and its .layer

Workin on it, sent you a test core in PM on forums here with a test core. Use and abuse mounts (and any other special new features you see in the changelog, lol)

Let me know how it works. Seems EquipItem() ignores Mount Object layer manipulation totally, so adjust the code for this.

Re: hooking the same packet twice.

Core reports the error, but, goes on and let's it load. Check start.log to see if it was listed in there when initializing the packethooks. Should say something:

Code: Select all

Packet hook receive function multiply defined for packet <your packet ID here>

NPCs trapped by small chests etc

Bug where NPCs can be trapped by dropped movable chests and such.

Fix for this would be : WALK_INGNORE_MOVABLE or similar, to step over movable objects that are blocking their movement in Walk functions for NPC.em.

It sounds like you are getting the message that says :

Code: Select all

No clock movement in 30 seconds. Dumping thread status.
If that is the case, please post here what all is listed after this message so we can try to see what is going on for you.

Re: UO::SendPacket() (POL 097 2008-02-26)

Ok, internal size is big enough (just verified). As stated, it is only the SendPacket() function where this is an issue (and the Menu commands, as they max out at 2k, but if you send a menu over 2k in length, you got other issues at hand, lol). We are looking at dynamically creating the buffer for t...

Re: UO::SendPacket() (POL 097 2008-02-26)

This is going to be addressed soon. Firstly, Buffer size (internal) will be increased from 2000 to 4096. Second, we will look at a more dynamic method also once this is done, in order to allow it to increase for the newer larger gump packets that are possible (although unsure yet if this will be nee...

Re: hooking the same packet twice.

Nando, where you need to look is the definition of incoming/outgoing script references for it. You can define the same packet in multiple locations for separate packages handling subcommands (iirc). So it's the definition of main packet that needs to be worried about also. If you still have trouble,...

Re: [Fixed in 098] Equipment graphic bug

-- POL098 -- 02-22-2009 MuadDib: Changed: Updating of worn items will be handled by sending Delete Item packet to those in range, then sending the worn item packets. This is to address an issue with client not updating worn items on other players when graphics.color.etc are changed.

Re: NPCDesc NoSave option

It's already in 098. Reach the Changelog for 098 Beta.

All items within their wornitems is not saved also (so means all equipped items). If you use additional storage (not handled within worn items container), then you must clean that up on your own.

Don't forget (iirc), it also needs to be enabled. Or did we update that to auto enable? can't remember, been a while.

Check docs but you also need to Enable the priv after you grant it.

Re: Spellbook/CanRemove

In a sense, yes I would agree. Or, the lack of a good check on it. While I say that, it will not be fixed. This is because in 098, we are re-writing how the spellbooks store spells. Eventually (in 098), they will delete the scroll when inserted and update a newer spell bit storage for the spells on ...

No crashes at all with AOSResistances 1 and such. Btw, the constant cpu load of that scriptbase, sucks :P At any rate... send...
