Re: Discord Bot

I was thinking more along the lines of including it in the Distro (i'm not even sure if the Distro potentially has any current injection points for Discord) but having it disabled in a CFG file and then we can add a note to initialization that if its wanted it needs to be setup and enabled in that C...

Re: Discord Bot

I got some more changes that i want to make/include and then i'll add it to the distro.
It's really nothing special, just a wrapper for code i'd already given to select people and anyone who asked.

Discord Bot

Hi All, Please see attached V1 of my discord bot. It comes with 3 templates and is somewhat documented. There is a basic command included as well for testing purposes and as an example in how to use in your own scripts. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. IMPORTANT I don't own ri...

Re: Stationary & Centered effect speed

I've done a compare of the core code from your release and the current repository. From what i can see i can't find any differences. I'm wondering if this isn't so much a case of something broken/fixed in the core but more a case of the client has maybe changed the way the packets are received for t...

Re: SendSysMessageUC and unicode

I think from memory last time there were discussions about UC that from what we can tell the core is sending the packets correctly as intended and that something has changed on the client side. I think someone was going to look into logging some packets from the client to find out if anything has ch...

Re: How many items of a given objtype

We had something similar in the old Pol Hook dll that was around for zulu servers.
When the function would run it would literally lock up the whole shard. It wasn't used very often :P

FEATURE REQUEST: Config file writing.

I brought it up on discord but i figured i'd post here too. It would be good to be able to enable or disable a package from within escript/pol itself. Turley suggested that we write to the pkg.cfg file, however there is only the option to append to a config file, not update or write new values. I as...

Re: Flying NPC's

By the sounds of it, he's maybe doing 1 of 2 things. The npc creates a hidden tile infront of it which it can move to which would be above the normal max z height of the world He's maybe modified the world files to include a hidden layer above the max z height which allows the dragon to fly around o...

I assume you're referring to realm references for core functions?
What about the alternative of adding both names pointing to the same realm number?

I can't locate the auctioneer AI in the edwards distro either :(
Edwards if you're free I'd love for you to jump on discord to have a chat.
Link is in the chat/irc tab of the main website.

Re: Complete Auction System

I had mentioned to Nando a year previous to the replacement that I had converted the 0.95 Distro to handle the enhancements to POL since POL 0.96 was released. He suggested that I add that to the repo as the Distro_Alt and gave me commit access. So I did. I know that hurt Edwards' feelings but I wa...

Re: I got it working, but need help with other things

Which files does your system think you're missing.
As far as i'm aware the distro should compile fully without error.

Re: Complete Auction System

Doesn't change the fact that the original post titled "Complete" auction system, doesn't actually contain the AI for the NPC defined in the config files within the zip file supplied. Regardless of if they were running the "offical" distro or not the AI scripts should have probably been supplied as a...

Re: Text Commands: 'copy', 'paste', and 'mpaste'

This should be covered by the distros existing "sets" system which i think is .addset and .makeset I also have a enhanced version of the set command which i converted into a package to allow people to make sets which could then be called and created by other packages. I'll look at merging this into ...

What operating system are you looking at trying to get it to run on?

There are some pre-compiled versions available from the download section.

Re: MAC address

Unless the client you're trying to find the MAC address for is on your internal network, the MAC address wouldn't be availalbe to your ARP table and as such there would be no way to view it. Generally speaking MAC addresses are used for LAN processing and aren't broadcast across WAN. So no, not poss...

Re: I have started moving posts referencing old "Distros".

Yeah i understand the logistics of doing it would be something different. I just figured it would allow people to try and get support of specific full world sets after the original supporters have gone away. I get that its a case of most people don't release their scripts until they're done with the...

Re: I have started moving posts referencing old "Distros".

This is probably a stupid suggestion, but maybe we need another forum where people can create sub forums for their distros and people can support those specific scripts?
