uoconvert error when generating multis.cfg

found out that with latest github version, I am no longer able to build multis.cfg (from starthere or manually uoconvert multis) error is: uoconvert multis Reading pol.cfg. Reading uoconvert.cfg. Execution aborted due to: write_multi(): fread() failed This works perfectly fine with OLDER version of ...

Re: Unknown Packet 0xc8

sorry to digging graves, but anyway:

it is enough to write a hook for this, if client got the reply from POL it will set the view range properly

adding pkg I am using for this.

cliloc and 0xbf 0x10 subcmd

I am fighting with the auto update of cliloc (megacliloc package) other than changing names of the items or using increvision (which is almost perfect solution). I wonder how to do it with packets only and I managed to build a packet that updates the cliloc when used by command: // refresh cliloc in...

Re: 2 questions := { point on map , HSA client }

this is a feature of enhanced client or you can show this gump in classic one? I know about RUnUO dynamic gumps (with .net 4.0 and vitanexcore) but I guess it's not what you are asking for regarding dynamic in-game gump-map update...

Re: Crash with patched svn rev 614

i am no longer supporting our polish shard but already knows that the stability of pol099 (rev 600+) is very small, server crashes after several hours/day with high online count. My patch is not working well with enhanced clients (it treats them like hack attack :P) but apart from that, we saw the s...

Re: Help Creating Shard

for a start, find a pol that has starthere.bat and batch/ folder, you should run StartHere, it will help you to start and create maps with uoconvert, etc.

about this c8 packet, I did the same but even without the packethook, I was able to walk and was not freezed as you, so it is probably something else.

Re: Blocking Razor

actually my script does exactly that, sorry I didn't described it clearly. First, my PacketHook sends Razor Handhake Packet, and waits for a response from Razor. If "Negotiate features with servers" is enabled, Razor will answer to the packet and player will be able to stay in-game, but without feat...

Re: Blocking Razor

<gravedigging mode on>

it is actually possible with packethook, I got some packets from RUnUO with client and fit them to POL with client, works perfectly.

Example usage (independent, should work) attached.

Prevent flooding of POL server causing lag or crash

This patch prevents POL server from being flooded by messages from pre-authenticated accounts. These attacks load big amount of data into POL server buffer until it stops responding. Patch fixes two methods of attack I am aware of (sorry but I am not going to describe how to test them here, from obv...

Re: Rev 604, Static, Linux build crash

additionally, we are under attack :) that's why we want to use singlethread, but maybe this log from pol console would give you any advice how to prevent this?

099 static rev 593 x64 - UOConvert issue

I am not able to generate valid tiles.cfg on the build 099 static rev 593 - x64 version (Debian Lenny). For example when used uoconvert to create cfg files, I could not find backpack with ID 0xe75, so all nps and pcs had no backpack when I launched the server. After manually adding this value to the...

Re: RUNUO vs Pol

i doubt that new people would arrive and get POL. Even if it'll have new great bug-free POL099 distro. UO is a drowning ship and all that was left is the shards that ALREADY has their own scripts and only need core changes (and that's where the POl team is right now, isn't it?) I think there is no r...

Scripting help needed for custom shard

Hello! We're in early development of the new shard, with fast dedicated hosting (at launch). We need scripters to speed up lot of work that is to be done serverside. Currently there are 3 scripters, but we need more :) Before you decide to work with us, take a look at shard details and apply only if...

realmgen bug with none statics

realms won't generate if staticsx.mul is empty (no statics, example: i wiped them out to make new ones) this bug can be avoided by placing any item and freezing it to statics... other way you won't be able to run pol with proper realm files. Loading Realm malas. Server Shutdown: loading POL map file...
