Maybe someone of you can show an example or share some code? With best regards! It depends on return value of your hook. 0 - send packet...

Re: How to prevent using commands/words?

I used this hook to log all player messages, and to prevent in-game flooding if message repeats. It works pretty good, had 100-150 online. But, i used old svn 099 core version on my server, and after 20-25 days uptime hook always stopped working. I don't know why, never tried to search, just did a r...

Re: [pol100] how to hide equipped items on dead corpes

Showing all items on corpse is not a good solution, as well as not showing at all.
My NPCs, for example, can loot player characters, and when they die it looks horrible.
Only equipped items must be shown as it was earlier, don't know why pol-devs broke it :)

Re: [pol100] how to hide equipped items on dead corpes

@guialtran
corpse is a special item, and as far as i remember you can not set a usescript for it. So your solution wouldnt work.

Actually, pol-core just must be fixed, i dont think it will be so hard for core developers, when they know since which commit it is broken.

Yup, agree. I described this issue already May 2017, but looks like noone want to fix it :D https://github.com/polserver/polserver/issues/29 And no, you cant fix it with a script. It is a core issue. Looks like this Bug was introduced with this commit https://github.com/polserver/polserver/commit/39...

Re: How to make character slow moving?

You can send client a packet, so client thinks he is with/-out mount SendPacket(who, "BF0006002603"); // turns on boost SendPacket(who, "BF0006002600"); // turns off boost but there are 2 problems 1. it is clientside, so modified client (or div. injections) can ignore or disable this packet. 2. if y...

This was added by DevGib so I am sure it is to enable POL to speak Australian. It probably has something to do with the reverse coriolis effect down under. :D Just kidding!!!
Base64 is used to represent binary data as text, so it is easier to work with :)

At some point in POL's development, probably POL 098.2, Turley implemented speed hack prevention. In servspecopt.cfg there are 5 settings for this. If you are using POL 098.2 or later and your servspectopt.cfg file located in the main config directory does not have these settings you can copy and p...

Re: Regarding Packet Hooks

Question, if I write a packet hook for instance deny pick up, does this override or interfere with the server's normal handling of this? if i remember correctly It depends on return value of your packet hook. return 1 - core will not handle this packet return 0 - core will handle packet after your ...

Do you want to extend the viewable area in the game window? I do not believe that is possible from POL.. The client controls the viewable area. New FoV system. Along the way, all previously known bugs of the LoS system were fixed, and it itself was improved and optimized. A major change was that now LoS and FoV behavior are controlled by the server, which allows use of these systems directly in the game process. The video demonstrates the ...
