Re: Specs for a dedicated server
First of all, I want to say I'm sorry if I didn't made my idea clear xD Anyway, I want to buy a server over something external like OVH or sites like this. Hallo Daviex, Could you give us a little bit more information about your server? How many players do you have, what distro are u using, what cor...

Re: Specs for a dedicated server
One thing to consider along with the server specifications is your Internet connection speed and reliability.. Ultima is still pretty good about limiting bandwidth usage but still, obviously, the faster and more reliable the connection the better. As for system specifications, due to lack of money,...

Specs for a dedicated server
Hello.
I want to get a dedicated server to host my shard, but I've no idea what could be better at current time about specs.
Have you any advice about specs machine needs? And also, what you advice between Linux and Windows to host the server?
Thanks!

Re: Got problems over naming function "PlaySound"
Funny you should have that problem. I recently had that same issue with the same name. Hehe we must have the same script :) I think my problem was a variable of the same name. Yes it is an issue with the way eCompile parses identifiers. You cannot have more than one function or variable with the sa...

Re: Problems while updating POL Core
Do you check the '/config/servers.cfg' settings? GameServer { Name YOUR_NAMESERVER IP YOUR_IP Port YOUR_PORT_NUMBER } Compare pol.cfg versions and check for changes. Yea, it is exactly the same as before, I only changed the POL.cfg by removing the Port and Encryption from this and by placing it int...

Hey, thanks for the answer.Skinny wrote:Hi.
Try to disable your firewall temporarily or to add the listen ports and see if connect.
Well, I don't think is that the problem. If I start my old POL server, it works without problems, I can log in and everything.

I've already compiled it, recompiled the scripts under new modules, and all was fine. Adjusted what was wrong with Config Files, removed from POL.Cfg the ListenPort and Client...

Re: eScript Compiler by Molester
You can mod the CFG so you can choose to compile only scripts that are update. Example: If you set 1 to this option, when you will going to choose Compile All Script, it will compile only script that have been modified from last compile.
But, i will see what i can do about this mod ^^
