Current AIs:

daves_healer: a generic healer script. Wanders around and resurrects a ghost if it's visible

meek: a wanderer that fears humans. Use for wildlife, etc

person: a generic townperson. Pretty boring, and rather incomplete

killpcs: your generic melle-fighting bad guy. Hates all players

archerkillpcs: like killpcs, only uses a bow or crossbow. The "missileweapon" entry in NPCDESC.CFG is important for this creature, which needs to be an entry in equip.cfg containing both a backpack and a missile weapon of some sort. You also need to put an "ammotype" entry, stating the objtype of the ammunition that the creature uses, as well as "ammoamount" -- the amount of the ammunition it takes.

spellkillpcs:hates people, and fights with spells. Salient npcdesc.cfg entries:

spell (multiplpe entries): the spells this npc can cast. The current list is poison, flamestrike, ebolt, lightening, harm, mindblast, magicarrow, meteorswarm, summonskel, summonfire, summonwater, summonair, summonearth, summondaemon, summonvortex, paralyze, chainlightning, masscurse, weaken, fireball, explosion. Other important entries: cast_pct: the chance of casting each combat loops,count_casts: should it cast a limited number of spells, num_casts: the number of casts it gets per combat, and saywords: whether or not it should say the words of power when it casts

goodcaster: mostly for wisps and other "nice" spellcasters. Casts spells, but won't attack. Same entries as spellkillpcs

doppel: a shapechanger AI that attacks players. Can also breathe fire and cast spells. Tough to configure. Salient entries:

graphics (multiple entries): These critters will change shape once per graphic entry, when they drop below 30% HP. When they change shape, they go back to 100% health. The graphics entry has several important parts, each separated by spaces. These parts are: graphic id, color, cast_spells, breathe_fire

spells: entries as per spellkillpcs. Only used if the current graphic can cast spells

critterhealer: casts spells, and heals any NPCs that are damaged. Makes the combat quite difficult. Config entries are as per spellkillpcs

firebreather: like killpcs, but can breathe fire. Can be tough, as damage is based on hit points (damage is between 1 and 70% of their total hitpoints)

spider: like killpcs, but tosses spider webs at foes. If the webs are stepped on, the player is paralyzed for 15 seconds

townguard: a generic guard AI. Attacks all creatures without guardignore 1 in npcdesc.cfg

slime: a slime AI. There's a chance that they'll split or spit acid when hit
