To the Pol Forum Admins:
Guys you need to keep on top of the spammers. We are seeing the same ones on our forums and right now it's a fairly constant job keeping them pruned. Their activity has increased.

Der :)

Tek forwards what he can to me and I jump in to nuke em. Won't say what I do when I nuke em, as it involves stopping certain ones.

However, we have a LOT of mods in place to handle the registration of them. Now, we are getting hit by manual ones. Sucks eh?

I'm trying to figure out a mod that makes it require moderator approval before displaying the post. But it appears to be based on forum only. I've been trying to crack into the code a bit and see if I can bind it to new accounts instead to make it so they must have an approval before it displays their first posts. But then again, I know NOTHING about PHP or databases so I'm kinda fighting an uphill battle.

A rule that requires approval for posts to contain weblinks or pics for new (less than say 10 previous posts) accounts.

We actually had someone (a spammer) post a porn pic in one of our forums. Tha's why I suggested pics as well as links.

This mod does any post no matter what but like I said, its forum based so any non-moderator that posts to the forum must have approval. I'm trying to see if I can find that section of code and somehow figure out if I can make it new accounts only.
