client 4.0.0c & injection VS Pol95

Post by namtai »

Hello,

i'm playing on a freeshard and i've managed to run a 4.0.0c client with injection on it instead of the (impov) "buggy" 2.0.0, when i log-in i have to do ,resend (injection command for resync of the client) or the world is black.

Now my questions are,

Could the use of this client delete my pg?
Can this client somehow crash pol?

Thank you.

To my knowledge clients usually don't crash the core.

By "pg" I assume you mean your account/character. The client shouldn't cause that but injection has some commands that might. There is a dye or colour command with injection that will cause your account to be banned by checks in the dye scripts in Distros 94 and 95 if you attempt to colour a dye tub with a value higher than 999.

if they're loading and the world is all black, thats usually the situation we call a "blackhole". Basically a blackhole is caused by lag and/or excessive objects and stuff where they're logged out.

Yes and that would make sense CWO if the 2.0.0 client is crashing. The black hole issue was fixed in version 4 clients. Though when I black holed I rarely even got to see the game window. Usually I got an empty login screen with the words "Welcome to Ultima Online" at the bottom of the window.
