For the newest release you do not need to insert this code any more.
Code: exported function GetHitsRegenRate(mobile) return 10000; endfunction
exported function GetHitsMaximumValue(mobile) return 10000; endfunction
It should fix that problem eeryone was having.

I had a problem.....
in the ReamGen I pressed "E" than "B"
then it came this problem:
Initializing files: Done.
Execution aborted due to: readstaticblock: fread(sidxfile) failed.
Reading pol.cfg.
Reading uoconvert.cfg.
Unable to open configuration file realm/britannia/realm.cfg
Execution aborted due to: Unable to open configuration file realm britainnia/realm.cfg
Any sugestions?

I had the same problem. Just convert the T2A map first then the Mondain map will convert that means A then B. Then run the server al should be good.

ftw, what client version are you trying to connect with? Did you UO Rice it first? Check ClientEncryptionVersion in pol.cfg and make sure it is set to none when using decrypted clients.

hi, im kind of new to all this, i have tried everything to get my shard to work but i cant login to it, i ran uorice to get the cilent and changed the login details so i should connect to my shard, my shard detects the in coming connection but i am unable to get any further than verifying account
help

Now you ran UORice, are you running the No_Crypt_Client2D.exe that UORice made? Or are you still running the client.exe? Not getting past verifying is usually the fact that you're not running the No_Crypt... Other than that, more info is needed...
What POL Core are you running? What client version are you running?

What script base are you using?
Try searching a file named uoclient.cfg.
If there the option EnableControlFlowPackets is set to 1, set this option to zero or delete this line. Cause otherwise you can only connect with clients lower than 4.0.0e.

hi there, i did all in the guide for my shards its was working pretty, now i have format my cump... now i tryed to compile .src files and gave me this error :
warning: DBHELP.DLL too old, version 5.1+ required

Hum, i was not able to connect qith the admin/admin until i go in the account file tu put enabled 5 (admin) but every time i close the clients it goes back to 1 what that makes me unable to connect til i go change it again
some times it connect but only once if i disconnect from server im unable to reconnect with the same account
Even if i change it in the account file and restard the shard cant connect
pls help me :s
It dont seem to check the account.txt (account:none)
i have 2 accounts and the 2 are unable to connect

Thanks for tutorial!
Well i try make my own server but don't work
i make everything like a tutorial say.
i put the 097_basicSetub and pol-core097 in the same past.
i configurated file ecompile.cfg and vitalInit.src
i compiled in "startHere.bat"
and copy the .mul files in past MUL
well, after i do all this, i go in "starthere.bat" and i chose comand "d" start POL.exe
When he load can't read and write the start.cfg, so i go to take a look in my scripts folder, and don have a start.cfg, so i try more 3 times make a server fron the start. but hapen the same thing, when i login in this server after POL.exe complete the loading, don't have nothing, just me and the map(don't have npc or mosters), the commands like .go don't work, and all my status the value is 1 (heal, mana, stamina etc...).

after i try all this, i try something diferent, i get the "097-official.zip" and unzip in the past where is my shard, so i do all again, and when i try to load POL.exe works (he loading mutch mor things), so i login in server, my status back to normal now everything is 100(because i login with admin), but again don't have nothing(npc or mosters), this is normal? or what i do wrong?

it is normal. as of right now POL 097 distro doesn't have NPC or monster definitions... let alone spawns. it will in the future but right now it doesn't

eish, this is frustrating. Thx for the help so far. the multis.cfg does get created. The .mul files are present. I copied it from another distro that I have successfully compiled and ran successfully. Dont know what I am doing wrong.

First of all, lets go through the basics of preventing crashes.
Redownload the POL097 core. Extract every file in the zip to replace the files that already exist. Then, I usually get this done with a quick Windows file search, find every .ecl file throughout the scripts and delete them. After that, run ecompile.exe through the command prompt to recompile the entire shard.
