Of all the emulators I have used, not including Lonewolf they are still in heavy development and it looks VERY promising. I have never seen an emu so easily customized yet people still stick with runuo. I do not under stand. I had to edit like 5 or 7 files to create custom ores and use them. In runuo you have to eidt like 15 - 20 or more. Not to mention sphere, do not get me started.
I have been using pol for quite sometime and I have to give a shout out to all the great pol developers.

This is good to hear.

I have always thought so but have never taken the time to use any other emu to prove my theory.

The only other enu scripts I have ever looked at are RunUO scripts. In my opinion there is a lot of "wrapping" needed just to create a script in RunUO that it makes for slow learning for someone new to programming. The one and only reason for RunUOs popularity is C. Well, that and the excitement of something new. I really won't say any more because other than the few times I have toyed with RunUO I didn't make an effort to learn it.

For me personally, POLs appeal is two fold; its scripting language and its flexibility. eScript is simple and easy to learn. Its similarity to Pascal made it easy for me to pick-up. Yes, I am old enough to have written and used Pascal. I remember the UCSD version of Pascal which oddly enough ran it's compiled scripts in a virtual machine like POL does although I don't think they called it a virtual machine back then.

The flexibility of POL is clearly visible with the use of CProps and the various script types that can be assigned to items. Plus look at the various members each item has that can be masnipulated and used in scripting.

My hat's off to Eric Swanson and those who added their knowledge and hard work to POL.

Yes, thats it. I could not find the word for it, wrapping. There is WAY to much of that. I remember PASCAL.
