Post em here. Making this as my own notes.

Current beta instadecay seems overhauled, but failing to ignore items with Decay set to 0 in itemdesc as it should. Needs fixed!

If you put a stack of items onto the ground, it's decayat timer
is set according to the DefaultDecayTime value in servspecopt.cfg
(e.g. 10 Minutes). But if you now pickup/drag some amount from this
stack, the decayat of the stack remaining on the floor will be
set to just 60 seconds. So it will vanish much sooner than the
player expects.
