Hi, I and a friend has opened a server, to first build up, and then let people play on it.
The thing is, we are having some problems, so I hope that someone can answer them.

1. When you say certain words like guard, info, back, gate, ja, the thing you write does not seem to work, becouse if I write something like:
.rename Verena the JailGuard and then press enter, nothing happens.

2. We want the whole Minoc to be unguarded, but the mines shall be guarded. Dont know how to do this, so help.

3. All the ores have the same armor rating, help?

4. I wish to know how to put a 10 second timer on a gate, so that people may not flee from my PvP area instantly.

Thanks

In your regions.cfg file you can set the area to be guarded or not guarded.

As for as the ores, what script set are you using? That will take a little more work to get each ore set to different AR ratings. You could look at the distro script release and base your current ores off of that one to get the AR set though.

The gate.src will have to be modified to include the delay to place the gate. You can also set areas where the gate spell is not allowed. Again check the distro scripts for details on how to set this up.

I changed it in the regions.cfg but something is wrong. The positions I changed in the file is:
Not guarded, but it says 1 in the file.
Ingame it shows You have entered... like 7 tiles away from where I wanted it to be.

Regions are automatically expanded to a 64x64 grid.

POL devides the map into a 64x64 tile grid, so if the area in yellow was the location defined in your regions.cfg, then POL will automatically expand it to conform to the 64x64 grid (the blue area).

A picture to demonstrate:

It's a pain sometimes, but thats the way it works.

I made an image like the above of my entire map with the grid to help when planning regions.
