I am currently running XP Pro on the machine that my server is on. I am considering porting over to Linux but have no experience with Linux at all.

What things should I look for in my script set and what would be required to do this change?

there is one point only: case-sensitivity in file names (scripts & includes to compile, configs to load).

u can compile your files @ win and just move'em to linux, running the linux bin there (e.g.):

./pol >> pol096.log 2>> pol096.lg2 &
