I know Austin is gonna hate this one passionately, but there are still gumps out there that use the built in gumps - CreateMenu, AddMenuItem and SelectMenuItem2.

For a quick selection gump it's a winner for simplicity. You can knock together an entire option selection system in a few lines.

Can I ask one tiny change - add a parameter to CreateMenu to select the background picture sets. Or is it your policy to fix in place really hard to read gump backgrounds?

Could fourth parameter in AddMenuItem(menu, objtype, text, color) have a special value (-1?) to force reading item color from itemdesc.cfg?
Like in menus.cfg...
